Scotia Consulting was contracted to build a "Drug Court" system for Los Angeles County, to meet new trends in Criminal Justice response to overcrowding in Jails in 1990. The system was so successful that Scotia Consulting decided to market it across the US. During 1995 – 1999 agencies in New Jersey, Tennessee, Texas, Oregon and California, procured "Drug Court" to address the growing need for effective responses to their commitments to the Courts.

In year 2000 Scotia Consulting started designing a new Treatment Court + System which capitalizes in the experience derived from working with the previous version and embodies the latest technical info-structure. Our current Treatment Court case management system has evolved into a product that is simply the most effective system that an agency that supports a Treatment Court can buy. This system has variants which serve Mental Health, Domestic Violence, and other specialty courts. These variants can operate from the same database or as stand alone systems. PC TREATMENT COURT + Is developed in MS Visual FoxPro and Visual Maxframe.

Built as a true client server workstation that communicates with the data via SQL Pass-Through, irrespective of data being local or remote.

The new system accommodates backend databases such as Visual FoxPro, SQL server, ORACLE, SYBASE, DB2 or any others that are ODBC, OLE DB, or ADO.NET compliant.

This new technology enables us to easily switch the data source or the user interface providing the flexibility to be web enabled, via .NET, and PC based against a common data source simultaneously.

The system also provides the most advanced levels of Security capability, including using user profiles to determine extent of access, ability to hide cases, screens, and data elements that certain user profiles may not access.
